Last week when I was at Chicago O'Hare Airport I fell on the escalator and broke my Lumix FZ-10. I am happy that I could support myself when I was falling, thus I didn't break any bones. It was not after a few minutes that I noticed that my FZ-10 was left with the lens extended half way through, and I couldn't operate it since it was giving system error. My initial thought was that I knocked the lens and jammed the gears, so I tried to give it a push and pull. No help. Then I noticed that the AF/MF button looked crooked, too. When I was trying to reseat it, it all came out with little pieces. I put the pieces in my Altoids candy can and packed my camera in my backpack. I was really down, not only I broke my lovely Panasonic Lumix, but also I lost the chance to photograph geographic features on my intercontinental flight... Poor me.
